Michael Liu’s legal practice is focused on personal injury, harassment and wills and estates. Michael is a member of the firm’s complex litigation and dispute resolution group which handles a diverse range of disputes. Michael’s entire legal career has been focused on assisting clients with fighting injustice and obtaining just and fair compensation.
Michael has extensive experience representing clients on various personal injury claims, including slip and falls, medical malpractice, harassment, assault and battery, motor vehicle accidents, and more. He has acted for clients suffering from brain injuries, concussions, chronic pain syndrome, fractures, spinal injuries, soft tissue damage, fibromyalgia, psychological injuries, and trauma.
Michael and his colleagues take a goal-oriented approach to representing clients in complex disputes with litigation as only one of the options available to achieve the desired result. In Michael’s experience optimal results are most often achieved with the dynamic and flexible deployment of numerous dispute resolution processes. The focus is always on the serving the client’s best interests in the most efficient cost-effective manner.
In Michael’s wills and estate practice, he assists clients with wills and estate challenges, including probate, and other common issues. He takes a sympathetic approach to serving his clients as they grieve the loss of loved family members or friends.
Michael has appeared before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia and various administrative tribunals. He is fluent in Mandarin and enjoys working with clients from different cultures and backgrounds.
Michael moved to Coquitlam in 2016 to start a family. He is charmed by the people and region’s natural beauty. He joined Spraggs Law so he can be part of the firm’s long tradition of providing excellent legal service to the community. Outside of work, Michael enjoys cycling, cooking, reading and spending time with his family.
