Rijk Mollema

About

Rijk is an Associate Lawyer at Spraggs Law with a practice focused on Corporate, Intellectual Property, and Media Law. He is known for delivering competent, thoughtful legal work that addresses each client’s goals and concerns, with an emphasis on practical advice, efficiency, and responsiveness.

Before entering the legal profession, Rijk pursued advanced historical study and developed professional experience outside of law, including work in Sales and Business Development while living in London, England. This background gives him a strong appreciation and first-hand perspective for commercial issues clients face, and the weight of timely service.

He joined Spraggs Law in April 2025 as an Articled Student under Thomas L. Spraggs, KC, and became an associate Lawyer in March 2027.

Rijk holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours with Distinction) in European History from the University of Victoria, a Master of Philosophy in Modern European History from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Law (First Class Honours) from Queen Mary, University of London.

Born in Pretoria, South Africa, he moved to Maple Ridge in 2011. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, architecture, music, history, film, and television.
