Dave O’Neill has a civil litigation practice focused on personal injury, residential tenancy, and employment law. Dave energetically works with Tom and his colleagues to provide excellence throughout the legal process.
Dave has extensive trial experience representing injured clients who require the adjudicative process to ensure they received fair compensation for their injuries. He is particularly skilled at articulating the ways in which his clients’ injuries impact all aspects of their daily lives.
In his litigation practice, Dave has acted for clients suffering from brain injuries, cognitive impairments, concussions, chronic pain syndrome, fractures, spinal injuries, soft tissue damage, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, myalgic encephalomyelitis, and psychological injuries.
In Dave’s residential tenancy practice he assists both landlords and tenants in any issues that may arise. He assists clients in understanding their rights and responsibilities at the start, during and end of a tenancy. Dave has experience navigating the ins and outs of administrative bodies such as the Residential Tenancy Branch and civil resolutions tribunals.
In his employment law practice he advises employees on wrongful dismissal and severance packages.
Dave has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Civil Resolution Tribunal, Residential Tenancy Tribunal, and has represented clients in settlement negotiations and mediations.
Dave enjoys intellectual challenges in his free time. He is well read on many topics and is an avid participant in trivia nights. He enjoys skiing, squash, travelling and live theatre.
