People injured in motor vehicle accidents in British Columbia may be entitled to receive benefits known as Part 7 Benefits from ICBC. It doesn’t matter who was at fault for the accident, these benefits are available regardless of who is at fault.

Under Part 7 benefits, ICBC will make payments to a maximum of $300 per week. Some people are entitled to Employment Insurance (EI) benefits or Canada Pension Plan (CPP) payments, both of which are considered when ICBC calculates payments for wage loss under Part 7 Benefits.
