Should I contact ICBC after an accident? What do I say if ICBC calls me?

After an accident you need to provide the details of your accident to ICBC in a reasonable time. A reasonable time does not mean 24 or 36 hours – you have enough time to take care of your personal needs after an accident, to speak with an ICBC personal injury lawyer, and to understand precisely what you must tell ICBC about the accident. While you are obligated to provide a statement to ICBC about the accident over the telephone or in a meeting with an ICBC adjuster, you are not required to sign the statement.
